Dr Andrew Greenwood BDS (Birm) Dental Surgeon GDC 50423
I qualified from Birmingham University with a degree in Dental Surgery in 1976. Within three years I opened Greenwod Dental Clinic in Rednal, and have been practicing from the same site to this date.
During this time there have been many changes in the way we work and in the techniques and materials used. Especially in the field of Cosmetic Dentistry and Facial Aesthetics.
I have always tried to remain at the forefront of the changes by attending post graduate training both in this country and abroad, provided by acclaimed international experts.
After around a decade of practicing and building up my facial aesthetic practice I decided to set up a training academy to pass on what I had learned to doctors, dentists and nurses who wish to begin their career in facial aesthetics. my courses are aimed at both beginners and those more experienced injectors who wish to develop more advanced techniques.
Course numbers are kept small or 1-1 training can be arranged
I have been appointed as a Key Opinion Leader and CMT trainer for the renowned pharmaceutical company, Galderma, who manufacture the botulinum toxin Azzalure and the dermal filler range of Restylane. I have been asked to speak on their behalf and demonstrate at training workshops. I have also attended advanced anatomy training both in Nice with plastic surgeon, Dr Benjamin Ascher and facial plastic surgeon Dr Phillipe Kestemont; and at the Royal College of Surgeons in London under the guidance of Prof. Vichy Mahadeuan, professor of surgical anatomy, and Mr Dalvi Humza, plastic surgeon.
I am a member of the IAPCAM faculty and have presented at their conference and taught on their cadaver anatomy course
I am also a member of the expert group for ACE (aesthetic complications experts), and sit on the board of IAPCAM (International Association for the Prevention of Complications in Aesthetic Medicine)
